Seoul Arts Center's Hangaram Design Museum is hosting Le Corbusier’s largest exhibition until Mar. 26, 2017, for the first time in Korea. As is well known, Le Corbusier is a world-famous architect and is remembered in the history as the Father of Modern Architecture. The exhibition is special because many of his works have just been listed on the World Heritage List of UNESCO. Especially his sketches and drawings are very relative to his architecture and and it is also back into spotlight from years ago.
A few days ago, I visited the special exhibition and sketched appreciating a number of his architectural works, paintings, drawings, sculptures and tapestries.
While sketching in and outside the exhibition, I was falling for Le Corbusier's life.
I had a very interesting day with a master of architecture of the 20th century.

sketch at the exhibition in the Seoul Arts Center

pen, charcoal, A 4

Last Saturday I visited the Seoul Arts Center to see the exhibition of the masterpieces of the British Museum under the title "Human Image". The inside was crowded with visitors of course. I appreciated every piece ranging from BC to contemporary works. There were chairs for the keepers. I sat and sketched the scenery. Charcoal was very proper material for the dark and lighted inside. It might be an excuse if I say I couldn't draw them for the rushing visitors. Ratherly I would have liked to enjoy all those masterpieces. Hope you not to miss the exhibit. Thank you!

Today I visited the Seoul Arts Center to see the exhibition of Hur Young-man. It was great because he showed all the history of his works for 40 years as one of the famous cartoonists in Korea. After appreciating his great works I took some rest at the resting space back of the buildings. I sketched three pieces there in cool breezing air. On the way of come-and-go I drew people in subway. The exhibit will be on till July 15. Hope you to visit if possible.
